Changes are happening

Exciting updates are taking place on mrromhany.com I've changed the layout of the homework site to hopefully make it easier to navigate and have added some new features. One of the first changes you'll notice is an audio clip. All of these have been created using an ipad including Korg Gadget, Korg iElectribe, Animoog and KorgiMS-20.

There is also a new resource page, which should have lots of goodies to use. This month I've added two programs, one is a free piece of notation software for those wishing to write out music and the other is a sampler. This is great fun and allows you to record sounds and edit them. Have a go at recording your voice and changing it to sound like a chipmunk or robot. As always, we are updating the curriculum and the way in which we assess and monitor progress. This year you will find that more of the dialogue and feedback will be online, hopefully giving you the student more time to listen to your own work and reflect on it. Finally, remember if you need any help with the homework or would like to learn an instrument, play in one of the school ensembles or just book a practice room, please come along to the music office to see me.
