Here we go again

Back at the start of the new school year (although for most we started in June with roll over) and we're off to a flyer. Results are now in for exams and it's been another excellent year for our department with the second year in a row of 100% pass rate for all music subjects including GCSE, AS and A Level Music and Music Technology, NCFE Music Technology and Creative and Media. Students achieved well above their targets and GCSE results were some of the best we've ever had - what a talented bunch of students! It's great to see many return to 6th form and continue with music and to also welcome our new Year 7 students. Having looked at the responses to our instrument letters we have some very talented young musicians and I'm sure a lot who will be starting their musical journey with us as well. There have been some changes to performance groups with the introduction of a senior choir and senior jazz band as well as our junior choir, which will now be run by Oscar Woods who is continuing his work with Globetown Choir.
